Because the computer does not run them on the circadian cycle that the body is used to.

Biggest one is it costs money. Never seen someone that is routing around a scale that is taking a more efficient route.

Don't take this stuff personal.....Those cameras in WA, OR, and in AZ, have been in use for a while....

If people drove and logged like they're supposed to...According to the regs.....They wouldn't have to worry about "Breaking the Rules" right?

And Btw....In my experience....#### Happens.....No DOT with a brain is going to bust your ### for running an extra 15 mins over the clock if say, you had to drive an extra 10 mins because a stop was already full.....

I drove for a big name reefer hauler when I started, and when they switched to EOBRs their accident rate went through the roof. Constant roll-overs, rear-ending, construction zone, etc accidents. Because they make you drive just because a clock says you're legal to drive. I once delivered one morning after having slept a full night. I sat awake at a truck stop through the day waiting for a reload. Around 5pm, I get a load assignment saying to pick up at 8pm and drive through the night to make delivery 500 mi away next AM. They said because I was going to sit for 10 hours, that I could do it. I told them I hadn't slept, and couldn't do it.

Perfect example of the ''e-log'' not BEING about SAFETY...I wish people would stop saying it's about ''safety'' when we all know different.

    So what's the suggestion?

Eliminate the HOS and allow people to stop when they "Feel" like It?.......

It's all about finding an outfit that puts ''safety'' first and customer service second. It's all about finding an outfit that treats you as a professional and trusts your ability while on the road. This is one of the things i love about Landstar. They DO NOT treat us like children and force us to do anything UNSAFE.

E-logs or paper logs,it does not matter to them. They trust us as professionals to do what is right and safe..Many times i fell sick out on the road with the flu.I call Landstar and they reschdule the load or get it re hooked. Most of the time they will reschedule..This is because they treat us like GROWN MEN...Not baby's with no skill...

If a company forces any driver to run''even with hours left'' and force him/her,that is the first sign of a bad company.I would not work for them.Thank God i was qualified at Landstar and i am treated as a professional and not a ''DRONE''...

I'm contracted with LS as an O/O...I have to say they treat me just as well as they treat their Lease -Ops....

Most of the LS rates are pretty good......And the waiting period to receive settlement (about 7 days for me if I mail it in) is great too!!!
