Wyoming is pretty laid back, I hate the fact that when entering the state for the first time you have to stop get out and bring in your ifta an registration, I always bring in my BOL to just in case. But I was heading east through wyoming up to mn. Stopped at Evanston showed papers, started rolling again and got to Lusk sign said it was open so I stopped in rolled over the scale and went in. Nice lady inside said you dont have to stop here I can see that you already stopped in evanston so you could've just get driving down the road. I walked out thinking wth never heard a diesel bear say that usually they all wanna check ya out. Ive never had any problems at any scales or road side inspections. I always have a good attitude towards them, smile and ask them how there day is going and let them do there thing, then when they let me go I always tell em to stay safe out there, cause I have several family member in law enforcement. I always ran legal and equipment was in good condition, so I always got a good report. Got pulled around back at the scale on 80 by youngstown OH. Got back there and this guy about 50yo and 300lbs pulls his squad up and waves me over to his car. Said I need this paperwork blah blah blah. So I give it to him asks me where my load originated, and I say Baltimore cause I picked it up there at lumber place. He says no thats not where it orriginated I said yeah thats where I got it I can show you my logs. He says nope the BOL says this load originated in Haiti. I wanted to say something to the effect, oh yeah I caulked up my truck an trailer and floated to haiti and got the lumber then floated back. Guy was being a jagoff and was trying to make a point that he was king. After that he said you can go sit in your truck while I run your stuff then ill wave when im done. Glad to never have to stop there again. Easiest scales ive ever been across has to be WI and MN being as there are only what, 2 or 3 scales that are open in MN and the WI ones were always closed when I came by. Ive only rolled over that super coop south of madison once in 2 years otr. But attitude and appearance are everything when you go in for a paperwork check at a scale.

Just south of the river after the scale on your right hand side is an awesome little cafe. Its a patriotic themed joint that is husband and wife owned and operated.
Good food and great atmosphere. I highly recommend them.
Just a bit farther south of there on the left is the Bull Moose saloon. Not bad food, beer, and nekid tatas on saturday night.Motel aint bad either.

I90wb/eb in billings is always fun......i normally just take MT3 to US12 though (shorter miles, and more senic)
my favorite scale is I15 sb at mm 203.......very rarely open, but when it is it's a training scale.......best part is its only 5 miles to the house! -
That port certainly has all the marks of a political appointment.
As I understand it the WYDOT thinks there is a need for an oversize permit office in Casper. Assuming its due to all the oil field traffic in the area. -
The coop in Lusk has a female DOT officer.....I think she likes to pull us in to hit on us...... -
