I used to have a regular run from DFW to St Paul. Whenever I hit the NB scale near Eagleville open, I always had to pull around back. When I was inside, others trucks would pull through and the cop would just glance at them and wave them on. Unless they had Hazmat, like I did. They told me once that even though my weight was always right and the rig looked good they keyed on Hazmat for safety(read as revenue) reasons.

I usually get the green light, but lately, I have had 4 wheelers change lanes right in front of me just as I cross the weigh in motion and that always sends up a flag, just pull in and back out, I'm okay with that.

There is a scale somewhere in Nebraska, I forget where but it was 3-4 AM and I was the only truck around. Sign said to stop before weighing and me being an idiot just rolled through about 2-3 mph instead. Cop Ripped me a new ### then made me backup, stop, then yelled at me again when I stopped for too long lol

Border Patrol station north of Truth or Consequences, NM on I-25 northbound...
"US Citizen?"
"Si."
"Have a good day!"
I used to do that to them all the time but I don't think it ever really bothered for some reason. I'm pasty white, green eyes, reddish hair.....I'm pretty sure they knew I wasn't a Mexican running up the highway, but it was good for a giggle every time I went through.Vilhiem Thanks this.
