weight distribution

    will sliding the 5th wheel forward take any weight off of the trailer? got 110 lbs to much on tandems, and their all the way back.

    Yes. 1 hole should do it. Watch your drivers and steer for over weight.

    All the way to the back? As in the tires touching the DOT bumper? That's like illegal in a lot of states

    Seriously...it might shift a little, but not really.

    Moving 5th Wheel FW will move weight from Drives to Steers.

    I used to figure 250 pounds per pin on the fifth wheel and 400 per pin on the trailer.

    Guess it depends on your setup, I usully figure the Opposite.

    Swift. Heavy haul. Its a tri axle refer. This is a backhaul. Tractor has a tag and 7200lb steers. Got 42660 on tri's allowed 42500. I 90 scale at cle elem, wa is ALWAYS open. No other way around it. No problem with more weight on tractor.

    Sorry don't know anything about tri axles ... Don't even know what the heck those are ...

    That changes some things...but Basic Rules should still Apply.
