42500 is gross on a tridem in WA. Can you move the freight yourself? So your running a 7 axle semi.(101K?GVW) 56k-54k on the truck depends on wheelbase and 42.5+54=99kGVW. Under your gross. Like I said slide the 5th wheel it will take the 110 off or move the freight by hand, ect.

It might move a little don't expect much, the 5th wheel slide affects the drive/steer weight shift, the trailer axle slides are what changes your drive/trailer axle weight.

Try it then reweigh and you'll know for sure.

Personally for only 110 lbs over I'd just run it, I used to load so that I was about 250 over on the trailer so that I could carry more fuel and be under gross and never heard a word about it between KC and Edmonton.

Another issue, being stretched out that far are you bridge law legal for your weight?

Aren't most tri dems fixed position? Or can some slide? The ones that I see regularly are all fixed position.

These slide. Truck is permitted at 105,500. 13990 on steers, 10000 on tag, 34000 on drives. Currently 10640 on steer, 7760 on tag, 31940 on drives.

I have driven OD trucks for since 1987. That Pipe truck(Stringer Truck)I have driven since 1992. I now drive a RGN for the most part. There are many types of OD "specific" types of trucks. Long load trucks/trailers depend on what type of load and what kind of terrain. Here is another type of long load truck I drove. It's a Truck flatbed with a Log trailer in tow. This a closer view of a Stringer truck from last year in CA. And now back to our regular schedule.
