Is that overweight on the steers?
-
Sorry, just looked it up and I saw the caveat about the ratings of the steer tires and that they can go up to 14000
-
Actually, on the Interstate, the only limit of steers is 20,000#, provided your truck is spec'd to handle that. It's just considered another single axle. Off the Interstate is another animal, as that's controlled by the states.Mooseontheloose and deafaviator Thank this.

Out of curiosity, what would’ve been the approximate fines and consequences for rolling like this? Standard two axle tractor and 48’ tanker with tandems. -
Totally depends on the state. It could range from $1000's and you're not moving until it's right, to a couple hundred bucks and be on your way.

Gotcha.
Pulled away from shipper last night expecting the usual 45k load. Felt way off. Much heavier and the surge was kicking my ### like a coked up madman which doesn’t usually happen, plus the whole rig felt much more top-heavy.
Immediately made a beeline for the nearest scale and sure enough I’m pulling 15,000 lbs too much.
Went back this morning and had them take all the excess off.
60k of product in a tank 3/4 full. Jesus now that’s a wild ride.Hammer166 Thanks this. -
Somebody hit the wrong button on their calculator!

Some of those scales you will find that much of a change when you adjust and reweigh on the same scale.

Used the wrong number from the strap chart.
