I am over 300lbs on my steer axle according to the scale.
I have a Thermo King APU, does that exempt me from the overage or what do I need to do to be in compliance? The 5th wheel is as far back as it will go.

You can be over 12k on your steer tires depending on what they are rated for. Regardless of that, I would be long down the highway with what you weigh.
-
Don't worry lots of trucks are that on front axle nowadays.
bzinger, D.Tibbitt and tommymonza Thank this. -
The maximum steer weight is dictated by the tires. Standard is a generally 6175, for a total of 12375 ... You're good driver. Go forth and roll.

FYI Florida requires you carry a letter from apu mfg. stating weight of unit. They are available online from your apu mfg.
tommymonza and roshea Thank this. -
Where did you learn math? I got 12350

Ok so I'm board, no disrespect!
