The entire road is 3 miles long. The bridges are about 30 feet each and about 200-300 feet between each one. There are no businesses on the road. It is the only road crossing for about 10-15 miles either way.
truckon Thanks this. -
That's how I'm reading it.
7 tons gross, but no more than 5 at any one axle.Smellfunny Thanks this. -
I should have clarified this on a conventional 5 axle truck very lite or empty, you would only be 7,000 per axle on your tandems. -
The load rating is X miles ahead. You're safe up until that point UNLESS the road is otherwise designated "no trucks" or a posted at a reduced GVWR, such as 57,200.
They'll often times not mark the actual WEIGHT rating , but class the road as "no staa", "class 8 prohibited", or "no trucks over 3 axles".
It's all to bait you into rolling the bones.
Be smart. Don't go... til you KNOW! -
I remember when Georgia had a lot of their roads posted "No STAA".
-
That's pretty common in Missouri, and not just on the county roads. There are even several on state roads.
