    That is the dumbest thing I have ever read. You NEVER stack containers to weld them together. You put them end to end with the doors in the middle......

    The lift axles are only used in MI, I am based out of Canada and that load stayed in Canada.

    We legally run the same gross with the following axle weights allowed here (Ontario):

    Drives - 40,000
    Tridem - 53,000
    Pup Tandem - 40,000

    Max Gross - 140,000

    @johndeere4020's right though. You certainly wouldn't need the lift axles down for empty boxes. Those don't weigh but 4 tons or so.

    Just have Swift pull it, I hear they got a special exemption for bridge clearances. At least you would think so, from all the ones they hit.
