The states west of the Mississippi River except for California, Arizona Texas ,Oklahoma ?? And the states from Mn to LA (Iowa, Missouri, Arkansas). Some states just need the weight on the IRP cabcard, but others you may need an extra permit?
MN would allow 10% over with a permit from Dec 1st til Feb 28th but not sure if they still do that. At çarriers can go higher weights to 97,000 with 7 axles, but not on the interstates. Iowa with 6 axles is 90,000, 7 axles 96000 but again not on the interstates. The northwest states from ND to WA ,OR all allow 86,000 on a 5 axle spread axle trailer setup. Check the front pages of the Rand McNally atlas the limits are printed on a table for each state.

Not at carriers, but agricultural carriers. I hate spellcheck sometimes.

When you get the permits if needed just remember you can not exceed the weight allowance on the tires. That figure is on the side of the tire. That's what will get you on your steer axle.
