GAWR Gross Axle Weight Rating Maximum weight on each vehicle axle.
12000lbs+20000lbs+20000lbs+52000lbs.
It means that on a bobtail operation this tractor can only haul
max 34000lbs of fuel passengers and their food and gear.
Assuming an 18000lbs dry weight for the tractor trailer.
That would be legal. And unlikely.
Most of that weight should be located on the frame behind the sleeper.
Theoretical possible.
Weight question, slightly over on the steers?

Well sure, if it were a straight truck, but I was only posting to show an example of a 12k axle. It's a regular semi truck.Siinman and Another Canadian driver Thank this.
-
Not so much. While each drive axle can be up to 20k on its own, due to bridge law the two together can only be 34 k, and the whole thing can be a maximum of 48k, unless you add another axle.God prefers Diesels and Another Canadian driver Thank this.

I replied to a Canadian driver who posted his cab sticker.
While he drives in Canada he doesn't need to comply to USA DOT laws.
Otherwise you are correct.
I still like your avatar more than mine, LOL.

We do too. Thankfully they're all in Washington DC.
I guess my cab sticker does mention the truck was manufactured in Canada, so maybe that's what threw you.Siinman and Another Canadian driver Thank this. -
