Im all about going the extra mile also. But I make sure that extra mile is legal and i take the time to educate the customer on what's legal and what's not.

Going the extra mile 1/50 loads makes the customer request me next time.
In my one month of working here I’ve already had company men request me because I do have an oversized tanker and can take more.
At the end of the day trucking is playing a game of risk and trying to figure out where you can and can not make risky moves.Crude Truckin' Thanks this. -
Yeah
Yeah, educate the customer. You know how it is, the person on the lift, "I go home in 5 minutes", or worse, they take it upon themselves to just put that last 2 pallets on, and close the door and go home. I've rarely saw a dock worker that cared about the weight.Crude Truckin' Thanks this. -
I understand that game out west. I kinda miss doing that stuff.

Generally fork lift loaders with flats are a little smarter than the typical warehouse dock worker. But that doesn't really matter because the guy you need to be talking to about working together to move his product legally isn't the guy on the fork lift.201 and Crude Truckin' Thank this.

I can definitely say the guys out here loading don’t care if you take 5 pieces or 500, they still get paid the same.
The guy who pays the company I work for cares how much goes on.Crude Truckin' Thanks this.
