    If you’re still wondering, google the Marathon MSDS for their transmix. Density is 5.9 - 6.7 lbs/gal. Specific gravity is 0.7 - 0.86.

    8,000 gallons would have to be a VERY light product to not be over.

    I haul 7,000 and that comes to about 57k for the load itself for what I haul.

    The biofuel I once hauled. I think was only 5,000 gallons. But them aluminum trailers were also heated so they were a little on the heavy side.

    set up a proportion. The specific gravity of water is 1.0 and it weighs 8.463 pounds per gal. and the specific gravity is 0.8 [kinda mid range] then work the proportion 8.463 X 0.8 / 1 = 6.770 lb per gal.....

    it's eazy peasy on a slide rule.....
