    No I don't think it came from off the ground. It was coming down like snow flakes only was the shape of fine short hairs. I think as @pmdriver said, probably a product of our climate manipulators spewing various chemicals into the atmosphere to effect climate change.

    We've seen that out at the ranch near Big Bend National Park. It's essentially wrong sleet. Not quite snow, but more than sleet. My Daddy used to call it winter hail.
