I know in Ga it's dot. And upon inspecting the flap hangers, one there's no trace of the flap ever being there (drive tires), on the other there are pieces of rubber still clinging inside (trailer).

Thinking I mustve run over something with the trailer...but I've no idea what.

If someone has my mudflaps though, they have SNI written all over them...heh.

Why the #### did I not thinkbof this?

Couple years ago I lost a mudflap in Calgary and it took me three days so I could comfortably cross the border. Finally found one @ a small shop called warrenboys.

    Jesusssssss Christ.....

    Lol

Since you drive for a big carrier, and if you DO NOT slip seat, what you can do is ask for what we used to call a spare parts box or kit, or "care package". Usually one wiper blade, one (back then) headlight and one high beam, a spare air line (color no difference), and maybe the alternator belt, and a spare mud flap. Nowadays however, inventory being what it is at some companies, they may not do this anymore like "the old days". When I was on the road, and if one of my company drivers needed something that he did not have, I would call it in, oh yeah, pay phones, no cell, no Qualcomm, and tell them I was helping that driver. We would get "bonus points" for helping, then along with our fuel bonus, got some extra money for helping, like an extra 1/4 penny per mile on top of the fuel bonus. So "it paid" to have some spare parts and to help out, our own company drivers.

Yeah, that was not intentional. At all. So I hope you're being a smartas* yourself.

I like good snarky, smartas* comments...

They give us oil, lights and a couple other things including wipers. So I know what you mean and I may ask if they'll fork over a mudflap when I go in next. But I doubt they'd give us anything that requires tools...

Guess they don't expect mechanically inclined drivers?:biggrin_25512:

Pull the mudflap off the tractor and put it on the trailer. Just make sure you put some back on the tractor before you drive bobtail.

As new as I am and as safety compliant as SNI wants to be that may not be acceptable to them. They are supposed to be sending someone out.

Well, as long as you don't get mean and YELL AT ME IN ALL CAPS like some folks do, I guess I'll give you a second chance....:biggrin_25523:

As for your last statement, hell most companies nowadays are happy if their new drivers have a good, steady pulse.... To think they might actually know what a wrench IS, let alone how to use one, is just unheard of...... [/snark]
