    YOU MEAN LIKE THIS?!

    Yeah no it baffles me when people who use equipment don't know how to do basic maintenance on it. I'll admit that I'm not at the caliber some of you are at but it doesn't stop me from wanting to learn how it's done. Were this my owned truck (I'd trade it for something else...) I'd have replaced the flaps myself. No muss no fuss.

    I try to avoid learning truck stuff because I know I'll make the mistake of buying one instead of another property.

    Still I smack my face when I'm inside petro for my pm and someone says "my brake light is out".
    $45 for a lightbulb change

    ....should buy a petro.

    What side is the CURB side, I'm horrable at backing in a slot, so nose'in is the preferred method. that seems to make the grill the curb side. Do I need to run mudflaps off my bumper. Then my foggie lites can't shine up in the georgia pines.

    Road assist for a mudflap.... No wonder their margins are so small. Pay a driver $15 to replace the mud flap and save tons of money.

    Sure that you did, but they probably thought you would drop the oil pan to install mud flaps and some drivers probably would.... LOL

    We had to tow a prime truck into the shop yesterday and I suspect the coolant leak was a heater hose for the bunk. Well if there had been shut off valves they could have closed the valves and filled the radiator to get into the shop and not had to call me to bring the trailer in and the wrecker to bring the truck in. It was dark and half way up McDonald pass and with all the junk on the new trucks you could not see the leak but it was somewhere under the drivers seat. I suppose they fixed it today and got her back on the road.

    Dear lord... You know what scares me? It isn't that SNI thinks that. It's that they are right for some people! The flaps are something we check for pretrip for dot, you'd think people would know this. But then again the last time I got caught thinking I got into trouble...maybe I should stop that.

    a LOT of companies do not want you changing ANYTHING on the truck

    i was told it comes from guys thinking they know how to do something and screwing things up

    so they figure its better to pay a shop and tow bill, than to allow any ol'' numbnuts to screw something up worse
