You might want to tell @Gumper that your 20 acres is your property, not his. Just because you are letting him stay on your property does not mean that it is okay for him to invite other people to your property.

I had a frenemy who I was nice enough to drive home from school when I was in high school. He invited another person to my car without checking with me first ( like it was his car instead of mine). This other person that I was taking sat in the backseat, where my checkbook was. He took my checkbook and forged a check to himself out of my checking account while I was driving. I did not see him forging the check because I was watching the road instead of him.

I had another frenemy who was a co-worker of mine at a factory. His parents kicked him out of his house. I let him stay at my apartment for 3 days. He invited his girlfriend to my apartment without my permission like it was his apartment instead of mine.

 

Are you grown? Can you not handle yourself self? Sniff out stranger danger?

Just an opinion but predators sniff out the weak and prey upon them.

Can’t live life in fear about what if? Working people that need help occasionally aren’t to be feared. If Gumper was a criminal he would have already robbed someone and stolen their car and be home in bed, or jail. Lol.
