I don’t have a problem with heat anymore but in the winter time I wish I still had the other pump. If outside temps are below 50 I’m running a winterfront just to keep some heat in it. It stays around 160 water temp now when before it was at 180 with the thermostats. On a pull it still acts normal and climbs up till the fan brings it back down to 180. I’ve talked to superhauler on this specifically when I first did this and he was having the same results. Only thing I can think of and he mentioned it is better circulation

The 1LW has a weaker crank then a 2ws or 6nz. The 5ek is a good setup too.

Not to worried on the crank. I switched it to the accert on its last build. Other cranks will fit right in also. 5ek is alright if you don’t crack the block. I have personal experience with that.
-
Absolutely, as long as the cranks updated the 1LW is a good fit

Guess I made that sound like I’m using the 1lw now. Dad had one in a w9 up till he sold it last year with just shy of 2 million miles so it’s history. But it was a good engine that he got nervous of because of the miles it had. I wouldn’t be scared of using one though.swaan Thanks this.
