If you want local and good pay at the same time, Eagle Transport hires new grads from 200 hr or more cdl schools.

Melton is a good place to start a flatbed career.

There's a small flatbed company in South Carolina that hires new cdl school grads.
Drivers there say they'll give you all the miles you want. Also do West Coast and Pacific Northwest runs.

This was a 320 hr school is i recall correctly. I never really gave much thought to tankers because of seeing everyone say its not really a good beginner job

Tankers is a good job for beginners, otherwise tanker companies wouldn't hire them.
They're more strict than other type trucking which is why a 200 hr. + school is required.
Don't listen to what other students say about tanker work.
