Prime considers the matter resolved in 2007 when I completed my jail time...hence even though the drug charge is old enough, the resolution falls within their 8-year range...and they said no.
That sucks, because I wanted to go with them!
Well, shucks...?

It isn't so much the time between convictions. Recruiters are seeing a pattern. Like others have stated you're going to have to go with whoever will take you. Get a year in or look for a job while you're working. The company I work for just hired a guy who did 15 years for murder. For you getting a job will be tough but not impossible.
Krazy Scott Thanks this. -
Try Carolina Cargo? It's a start.
Krazy Scott Thanks this. -
That's what I was afraid of...I broke the pattern years ago, it's just now become an issue since my last job petered out and I started applying to schools...

Thanks, I'll look them up!

I'll take it at this point...If I budget well, than I can get my CDL in about two years and be so mad about it that I'll take a job driving for a cartel...*laughs*
This is sarcasm, in case you didn't see the tone that I was typing with...Cartels shoot gringos just because...not sure I'd care for the interview, I'd rather drive for PAM -
Big Money Trucking for Cartel...ha haKrazy Scott Thanks this.

Many carriers who run Canada will still take you. As far as the Canada issue is concerned, anyway. I work for a carrier who does lots of Canada, but we still have drivers who cant and or wont go up there. So I wouldnt let that worry you too much.
Krazy Scott Thanks this. -
Under your circumstances, take what you can get. Carolina Cargo will hire you, but they don't have CDL school; you will have to attend a CDL school first.
Contact JBS Carriers
Otherwise, take what you can get for now & forget Canada runs; can't go there.Krazy Scott Thanks this.
