I hate to say it but you may have to go with pam to get in the door. I havent heard anything of them having improperly obtained cdl but I know swift was in hot water for it. Get in,get the experience and move on to a small carrier.

Ask at the local work force place about retraining grants. I know they have them, it just depends if they have one avalible. I'm not sure what it would cover, aside from tuition, but I know if you are in a school their are cost of liveing grants.

If you can get to a truck stop, somewere their is usually a place with cards/pamplets that will have information about various trucking companies, that would give you a list to try.

Watkins Shepard, Pride Transport and Gordon were three that were willing to work with me having a drug charge when I got started. Most of the megacarriers have 10 year restrictions on any drug charge. Many don't list that, just list say 5 years for misdemeanors then have another requirement for drug charges.

Try out CRST. Im pretty sure theyll hire you with the charges. Hell, my trainer had an assault with a deadly weapon conviction less than a year before CRST hired her. They're not too bad to work for, especially to just get your foot in the door. And you don't ever have to worry about going to Canada. As a side note, your sense of humor is a nice change of pace. Thanks for the laugh at "I even got baptized a year ago!" Hahaha

It says right on their web site (Drug Felony not in your life time) sounds like they don't like any drug charges to me.

Sounds like you have your answer and company already. Start packing and get your ### down to orientation the longer you wait the longer you will be sitting at your computer wishing you would of went with pam last week, the the week before that, then the week before that then the week before that. So, a month goes by. Then two months go by. Then before you know it six months go by and your on this board. Saying should I go with PAM... Then a year goes by and another thread. "ARE YOU SURE I SHOULD GO WITH PAM"... lmao....

    Advice:
"Shut the #### up" and " Go with PAM" lmao....

lol. . . . .And remember once you have a job, it's easier to find another. ( try and stick with the same company for a yr or so, 6 months minimum.)
