Its really not Millis at all, its Heartland, I left Heartland end of April 2025, had no real issues with them at all, cerratainly alot worse to work for. I eft ther to come home to take care of my wife, not because of anything at Heartland.
Unless theres is something written or agreed upon in the purchase, this actually seems like a good idea. You have no idea of the people coming aboard. Back in the 80:s I worked for Waste Management and worked thru several acquisitions and it was noramle proceedure to take applications from all the employees coming over to WMI. After all Swift have simply terminated the employees and absorbed the loads into there current dis[atch. Also in a lot of cases the name changed is held back because of concrats with customers.

True but they bought the name brand to maintain continuity with their customer base...just like CFI and I believe Smith.. Last time I checked their operating ratio it wasn't good, so public funding may be hard to come by.. Glad to hear you had a good experience and good on you for making your family a priority.. hope all is well now..

The old Abilene died years ago. They were the worst, most horribly run operations department I have ever had to deal with in my career.

I give most drivers that choose to make the move to Swift six months before they jump ship. First things they’re gonna do is turn the Abilene trucks down, then will come the micro management, and being just a truck number.
