Three in a truck? 10 days? Sounds like a screwed up training program.

I wonder why that top bunk doesn't have a safety net?? Any newbs want to answer that??

The trainer truck I was in did not have a net on top. It had seatbelt attachments, but no net. Brand new truck too.

Hmm i could be wrong but im pretty sure its illegal for anyone to be sleeping on top bunk while truck is moving. Maybe that was a company thing--but I was under impression that was illegal.:biggrin_25511:

No offense ment but this is scary! You have aprox. 2000-2800 miles driving. You have no way of knowing just how much you don't know nor what you will experince. Your comfort is also scary thought. I wish you the best and remember to a big cushion and leave yourself an out! It good advice and I hope you don't need it

Hell, I would have been glad to have had 10 days in training. And it would have done me a whole lot of good as well. I had to learn EVERYTHING the hard way. (Not saying that I know everything, just saying that everything I learned, I learned the hard way. You all know what I mean.):yes2557:

I understand what you are saying. Different people learn at different rates. One thing of note is I know directions great considering I have been map reading/trip planning for over 25 years already. I also have a lot of miles behind the wheel (of a car mind you). I still have a ton to learn I know, and also I don't confuse my confidence as something that will allow me to be more reckless on the road. Also, one thing of note is we've all had 3 different trainers evaluate us already so it's not like one person is just signing off on the safety of the general public LOL

And by the way, the guy I was talking about got sent home today from the evaluation. Who knows what happened, if they have a brain they sent him home permanantly. One more day of evals tomorrow before finding out about the equipment assignments.
