They just keep falling for those CRE videos and recruiters BS don't they? Never ending supply of bright eyed folks getting hosed to keep the Englands rich.
-
Yes sir... sad situation isn't it? Bad part is most think this is their only option.

What lured me originally was the thought of getting a dedicated route near my home. 2 years ago I used to see their trucks running up and down I-95 here in Maine hauling potatoes. For me this seemed ideal. Alas the reality is they wont hook you up with the route that you want. What they will do is run you where and when they want. Not you the driver being in control of driving when it is safe to do so.
During training feeling the pressure from a DM telling us that we had to drive out of Cheyenne in poor visibility in the winter. We made it, and the trailer stayed behind me the whole time. Even when going through the sisters and seeing that I was to go skating while everyone else was allowed to hole up where it was safe. Knowing then that the company had little care for its drivers was quite a eye opener about the corporate ethics that were really required.notarps4me Thanks this. -
Worked for CR England - my family kicked in between $4.000 and $5.000 for me to make ends meet. I got into the leasing program and I never made more than $100 a week and then next week I was hundreds in the hole. My paycheck was a roulette game... if one thing was corrected, then the next week I owed. And I NEVER borrowed. DO NOT EVER BORROW on your check. Call home first. If you plan on bailing out, get the job first. CR ENGLAND will bury you alive. And keep checking your credit rating, they'll invent something and stick it on you. (I've been gone almost 3 yrs. and a few weeks back got a letter from a collection agency about my owing CR England more than $2.000. I called - lady said nothing was listed on the bill except a total of $2,000 some dollars.) They just don't stop their vulture routine. Pretty view all those red trucks purring at the foot of the mountains - it's going to be the best you'll get from there. Take a souvenier picture. More important: Take lots of cash so you don't starve.

Big Duker Thanks this. -
I forgot to tell that the collection letter said that if you do not pay the sum you are being billed for, that CR England will then report you to the IRS for the sum as earnings for the year in questiion. So you'll owe the IRS the original 'debt', as unpreported earnings, interest and fines.
CR England has good lawyers and good accountants, company accountants who figure you can't go up against an outfit who brags about being worth $550 million dollars and that you'll pay up.
Now I need to post what Covenant does to its ex-employees.

They tried to tell them, but they won't listen. Let'em learn on their own and we'll hear from them again, trust me.
