In decades past, people bragged about being able to live off the grid.
    Not so much nowadays.

It’s much more efficient to be on multiple grids.

I follow all of this stuff. Artificial intelligence, the automation that’s coming, the robots that can build and repair and design their own selves, the law professor that came out the other day and told young people don’t waste your time getting a law, or even possibly a medical degree, the list goes on and on. We are at a crossroads as humanity on this earth. Robots, and intelligence by other design is about to take over, and I just can’t comprehend why everybody is just sitting back and letting it happen. This is not the next iPhone about to be released people. This is not the next little cute gadget. This is a changing of life as we know it. Could they at least sell us on The idea of how this is going to be better overall for humanity? I get that most are initially going to marvel over the idea that a robot can live in their home with them and be a walking encyclopedia with 1000 PhD‘s in its brain and can do your laundry and dishes, and probably even take your dog for a walk but that’s the first generation. In 2 to 3 years from now these things will have the full capacity and capability to exterminate mankind anytime they so choose because they are smarter and faster and physically superior to any human being with the ability to coordinate, reason, and think on a level that humans can’t even comprehend…they will be able to take us out Anytime they want and by any method they want. Think about that. And the most amazing part? We created it. We gave it birth. So you want to talk about living off the grid? Lol they now have artificial intelligence capable of monitoring your own signature of body movements and posture and everything else they can identify you 101 different ways. Don’t matter if you wear a full ski mask and go into the store. They still know who you are. They know everything about you. Everything you’ve ever done, everything you’ll probably ever do. I feel sorry for the generations coming up behind us because they won’t even know what life was like on this planet for the last several thousand years. They are about to enter an entire New World. And it’s a world I personally want no part of. What are they going to do in 5 to 10 years from now when everyone wakes up and says what are these 8 billion people doing here. What are we doing with all these people that have nothing to do. You really think they’re going to keep all those people around? Seriously? Grazing in the field like cattle with no purpose, no goals, nothing to work for? Think about it! We all sense what’s coming and it isn’t good!

I would be more on board with this if the robots weren't so sophisticated.

I mean, why do they have to be so intelligent? Why can't we have dumb robots? Not gonna lie, I wouldn't mind having a dumb robot to boss around.

Big revelation, we've been watched since the Carter era. While I read Lennys post in earnest, I don't think it's quite so bad as he suggests,,,yet. People have long thought, when you hang up a phone, it continues monitoring or a TV shut off becomes a transmitter, why I'm fully confident, I'm being "watched" right now,:bootyshake:. I can only sympathize with Lenny, it all started with the cell phone, and I truly believe people are so seemingly out of it, because of their utter dependence on the cell phone. They literally can't think for themselves, or just easier to ask the phone. In a Dr. office a while back, maybe a dozen people waiting, I was the ONLY one not starring at a cell phone. Probably texting to the person next to them. I've considered becoming a recluse, but not sure people are any happier doing that, so what to do? Up in the upper right hand corner of most modern devices, is the power button, and like the CB days of yore, turning it off helps some. Thing about feeling sorry for younger generations, younger generations don't know what it was like and can't relate to the changes we've seen. They couldn't possibly know and why when the bottom DOES fall out, and every indication it will, it will be so devastating. I hope I'm gone by then,,

And John Connor tried to warn us. Skynet is coming. And we won’t be able to stop it. Might aswell grab a comfy chair cooler of frosty beverages preferably a nice looking lady bringing it,carton of smokes and do something that brings enjoyment for the bit of life. F’it.

Why does my TV give a notice; "It appears you're not watching the programming. In 5 minutes your program will be shut off."

Either it’s watching you watch it. Or just didn’t adjust volume for the obnoxiously loud commercials.

My computer does similar when I'm listening to music on YouTube while reading articles or on TruckersReport. "Are you listening to music; your music channel will be shut off if not. Click here to continue listening."
