Well--not only do I know NOTHING about Wal-Mart's ops--or Werner for that matter--BUT--Gas City USED to be on a OTR Peddle I did--and there were ONLY Wal-Mart and Werner equipment in that yard--haven't been there in about 6 months--so if there are schneider trailers in there--then something HAS CHANGED--but what it is(unless YOU are in Wal-Mart ops)is purely speculation--wouldn't be the first time Wal-Mart expanded activities in a certain DC and added a carrier--so I'll start that Rumor--Schneider picks up additional loads for Wal-Mart out of Gas City In!~How's that! LOL

When you see them pulling the reefer trailers let me know. Walmart private fleet handles the dry side of that dc and around every busy time or holiday you will see lots of carriers helping on the dry side to cover what the private fleet cannot handle for whatever reasons. It has been this way for nearly two years now and is nothing new.

SNI is the carrier at the bedford pa dc, no surprise if they get gas city, no great lose, seems like they have a different carrier at every other dc.
-
when I went into walmart awhile ago that werner was the carrier there was a sign in office that said report damage to trailers here.So I think they might have issues with equipment damage
-
We just received notice Schneider lost Walmart account to C R England beginning Sept 2012
-
Hahahahhaahahahaa oh my what a laugh
-
What I want to know is "Who cares if werner lost a walmart acct"
-
Why would they require Schneider drivers to have 3 years experience when they don't require the same of other carriers?
I'm a Swifty with about 1.5 years, and I have had many Walmart loads during that time. Some even Walmart trailers.
Maybe Swift doesn't need 3 years experience because we are "Best in Class" - just like our trailers tell us.
I do know this...
I have never damaged any of Walmart's stuff. -
I'm a swifty too
My trailer I have now has some ugly looking tires, maybe swift got them on mars at a discount -
Look at the bright side.
You won't have that trailer much longer.
And if you can get it to a terminal you can always red-flag it for repairs.dog-c Thanks this.
