I agree, I would have declined the truck, called safety and reported it, keeping a solid record of everything, recording all conversations. If they fired me, there would have been photos. I too am not a sue happy individual, but certain things need to be done. I worked for Werner for a month, they did not treat me bad, but I WAS only there for a month.

 

years ago I drove for werner and when I had a problem,calling safety did get things done.I would of went home before cleaning up someones boo boo

Honestly, with all of the information out about these companies, why do people waste their time? And don't tell me it's because you had no choice. You had no choice because you were too lazy to look for a job that wasn't posted on the internet.


Dude chill out! I was one of those that actually did the research on many trucking companies and made an informed decision as to who I went to and am very very happy. But to continue this dumping on peeps like the OP shows how some and including the trucking industry itself can be atrocious and dogging. Obviously this person was what I can gather now naive to the utmost but there's no need to step on this person's neck while he's down. Instead of dumping on him why don't u offer some encouragement his way. U've lasted so many years in the game and u obviously learned quite alot since u started in trucking. Stop beating on him/her and lighten up. All things don't seem as obvious as u may assume it to be.

just a fyi for anyone running into this or any other problem of this nature. You don't have to put up with this just because your broke. You can go to or call a local church and they will usually get you a bus ticket home.

 

Next time take photos on the truck. Nice closeup shots of the dookee in the sleeper. Then report it. If they tell you to kick rocks then take your photos right to the nearest State Dept of Health.

 

i would have video of it and the video them telling me to kick rocks too. Then off to the nearest lawyer when they post crap on my dac report.......documentation documentation , documentation ...... It will save your butt....

Here is a thought.....go to head office, sneak in to the CEO's office, take a good sized dump in the middle of his floor ( smear a bit on the wall if you like) and see just how long he lasts in that office.........or will he cry like a baby for the cleaners to come in......
