You will have 100's of companies to choose from if you go community college route. A few companies even reimburse you the CDL school tuition.

I don't know what an ET is. Your welcome here though. I'm just a Trucker.

I am feeling nice tonight. If you get the feel of a truck in 6 years, your lucky. Snow, Ice, Fog, is just the start. A school is just that. A place to start. The real road is different. No mistakes allowed. Your great, or your dead. A cliff don't care. This is a high risk job. It demands 100% all the time.
Only about 86% of truckers make it to retirement. Some Quit. some die. Some give all they have to give. The rest feed. clothe us, and make our life great. If your a Trucker, Your already a Hero.Last edited: Jun 2, 2013
ethos and DriverToBroker Thank this. -
The bottom feeders with their company training programs just have that set up as a "profit center". Run full classes every week, put you in a truck knowing you will not last 3- 6 months, then bill you for the remainder of your training costs. Repeat.
I would ask, what is the average length of stay for all their new hires they train. You know they have that info, but probably will not give it to you. -
