The point is, driver trainers with the amount of time you have training is not really agreed upon add being acceptable by many here. I get many compliments that I'm am excellent and safe driver and knowledgeable on flatbed securement by my companies standards, they require 1year solo experience to train. Ive got 2. I am not about to allow someone who I've never met take my life in their hands, and my little 2yrs exp being responsible for them....nope, not gonna do it
Joetro, snowlauncher, firemedic2816 and 3 others Thank this. -
I understand

Ok at 6 months and even 3 months is wacked. 2 years yes...
-
Brave. No way I could get in the bunk with a greenie driving. I'd be too nervous that I might wake up dead to get any sleep.
No offense to the OP, but 6 mo. to be eligible as a trainer is part of the reason I see morons with no lane control trying to rub up against me during a pass every night. And those are the smarter ones that have realized they don't have to park because the sun went down.Joetro, snowlauncher, TROOPER to TRUCKER and 2 others Thank this. -
Wow the guy obviously knows what he is doing. We all see the products of Werner graduates. Well maybe that wasn't a good point. But I tilt my hat to you young feller. Training tomorrow's freight relocation speacialist engineers. Lord knows with 19'years under my belt. I don't have the guts to do it.
To your point.lease purchasing sucks!! No matter who you go with. Don't believe these guys who say they are doing well. Unless they have a Viper like @freightwipper. But even he has a lemon truck and a crappy freight market to deal with.
Find a better company and train for them. If that's what you want. Or roll solo. But whatever you do. Don't rent a truck and let these companies swim in the money that should be going to you. While they keep throwing you scraps.
You say you want more home time so renting an over priced piece of garbage. In which a payment comes out every week. No matter if the truck is in the shop or you down in margaritaville with your honey or fishing for honeys. You don't want that headache and do you really want some newbie grinding gears in your new ride, and tearing off fairings. Come on bro you smarter then this. Plenty of companies have the perks you are looking for without having to rent a gig.Canned Spam, Blackshack46, Lone Ranger 13 and 2 others Thank this. -

So sad , so very very sad.. I wont even comment on a student training a student.Joetro, Toomanybikes, CHHALL3 and 1 other person Thank this.
