Wasn't me, Snowman. It says who it is right in the window on top. Apparently, you can multi-quote but I haven't figured out how that works yet.:biggrin_2556:

Is it me not awake yet or is the math kinda fuzzy here? 17 years driving. Took 20 years off due to wifes death ( sorry for your loss that would be tough). Went back to school due to no recent expirience. Worked for Werner for ??? Now works for one of the top 3 companies in the country ( as many times as Conway Truckload has been mentioned) for a few years.

If you have problems with the equipment not being safe and they are telling you to roll with it CALL SAFETY. In this day and age of electronics with cameras that have good resolution it doesn't take long to send something off. If it is an issue where a camera wont work do not move it! As many years as you have I cant believe you dont understand protect your CDL.

One thing I will agree on is not repairing equipment in Dallas. They cant do very much for repairs and will steal you blind if given the opportunity. When your in thier shop you have to know how to work the system to get back on the road. Your fleet manager can help. You sitting doesn't do them a whole lot of good either.

I dont work there anymore but did for 5 years. Some things have changed Im sure, however some of what you are spewing doesnt hold water. To all newbies do your research. Look at the companies profile on saferweb. Talk to thier drivers like when you see one at Family Dollar, not just the truck stops. For every 10 people you ask a question you will get 10 different answers.

Good luck to you sir hope Conway Truckload is working well for you.

The question in my mind is, who the heck he is referring to since he neither quotes no references other posts.

Newbies reading this thread a friendly warning to you- take all this negativity with a very large grain of salt ok.

The only way a company like would learn is by all the drivers quitting however something tells me that not all are dissatisfied other wise thats exactly what everyone would do is LEAVE

Friend the math is 20 + 17 = 37 do ya think I might be just a bit older then that?...lol it's ok friend anything over a 24 hr log book line does get confusing to a driver that's not awake. Take care Be Careful and Roll on Friend

Snowman is mostly right about Werner, I work for them. My average weekly take home pay is $280.00 to $450.00. They never give you a straight answer about what your cents per mile is, I have called my DM, Payroll and never get a straight answer but it's around .24 or .26 cpm which is ########. As Snowman above says I am putting in my time and I am gone to another company that pays .34 for Flatbed which is ########. This whole industry not wanting to pay a LIVING WAGE, instead they pay a SLAVE WAGE.

Can I start to hear people in these forums talk about GOING ON STRIKE to send a message to this industry. Don't worry about one nweek of striking we don't make enough to miss it. Maybe next year for Truck Driver appreciation week we all go STRIKE, then maybe we'll be appreaciated.
