Some of those long term drivers probably started when CL started and had only 3 digit trk numbers.Bet most don't feel that way now about Werner.Heard its changed hands.

People that have to BEG, and FIGHT, and climb on someones back every day to remind their Fleet Manager that they have a life beyond trucking, so they can get a little home time, deserve their wretched life.
Here's an idea...how about I remind the company during orientation that I wanna be home every weekend....and they respect that, or KMA.

Glad to see some common sense prevail here:

What works for one doesn't have to work for all, thank goodness.

Some of us love to stay out for weeks and travel the continent, some of us want to be home every night and off every weekend and stay local.

Some of us swear by flatbed/van/reefer, some of only want to haul cattle.

Some of us feel secure working for a company with hundreds of trucks and trailers and some of us want to work in a small company.

Some of us approach this as a part-time second career and want to take it slow and some of us are in debt or young and wanting to run, run, run to make as much money regardless the cost to health and lifestyle.

    Nights/days, per mile/per hour, old trucks/new trucks, singles/teams, own/lease/drive...

There are just too many variables to decide that everyone must feel one way or another. I only stayed at my first job long enough to land a second job and I wasn't happy there. Yet, they still have drivers who have been there for decades.

We all have a different set of expectations and different goals. If you were mistreated in some way, let us know so we can decide for ourselves what we think of the company. Just saying they're no good without telling us what actually happened doesn't help us to decide for ourselves.
