I have no idea. I was driving a new Peterbuilt with a Cat in it. Not sure what the difference is in the names, models, etc, but I tell you I like the turning radius of the new soft nose Peterbuilt vs the old Peterbuilt with the nose that poked into the next state that I drove for two weeks.

Ok I was thinking that too but when I saw that website lists them having both, i figured they were phasing in new Detroits and cats out since Cat is supposedly getting out. Can anyone confirm who drives at Werner?

Fry, Glad to see you found the equipment you like. I can only pray you get the truck you want or something like it.

Well, the main differences is one is built by PACCAR and the other is built by Freightliner. I gurrantee you half or more of the fleet is Paccar products being Kenworths and Peterbilts. Now the only differences between the two brands are one is quality and the other is not. Give me a Pete or Kenworth.

Standard training. Trainers want your FULL attention. No distractions.

A mark of inexperience on her part. She has not learned to sleep behind another driver, while the truck is in motion. Too many bumps? HELLO !! It's a 80,000 lb unit, travelling down the interstate. Which you did not have any input on when it came time to lay pavement. Not your fault. Not your problem. 100% her problem.

It's like coloring. You HAVE to stay between the lines, if you want it right.

Of course you could slow down to 20 mph, to improve the quality of HER sleep time.

I don't work for Werner. But I can answer your questions.

NO you do not get to pick out your own truck. They assign you one.

Werner, through it's own annual reports, show plainly that the fleetwide "average" is less than 9500 miles per month per truck.

Do the math, see it that comes up to the dollar amounts you were told.

Yes, you "could" make more. But.... the averages don't lie.

I'll be returning to Werner this Thursday.

I've tried to find local jobs, but it seems that local companies won't give me the time of day, either because I'm female or I'm uglier than dirt. Who knows?
Most require 1 year OTR experience, but the others that hire directly out of school won't return my call.

SONUVA!!! I SO wanted to stay home. This really puffs the peter bigtime. I was hoping I'd have a good lead, but it doesnt seem that way.
