At one time Schneider made you sign a 2 year contract with them if they paid your training. 2 years is a long time to be contracted in a new profession that youve never done before. They're quite a few people that have tried trucking and they hated it. Ive never driven for either one of em, I got Star Transport to sponsor my schooling and they required a 1 year contract. I worked 366 days for them. Schneider was just ranked the 9th best company to work for by the NATA. Regardless of which one you choose, your going to get greif from vetern drivers on the radio..lol...just dont let it bother you.

Schneider all the way........much better than werner !!!!!!
They're called pumpkin drivers because they drive 18 wheeled pumpkins (orange trucks). -

I worked for SN tanker for two years. I had no problems with them. I was always busy. I made the money to pay some bills off and left. I just didn't care for being gone all the time. Tank yanken was easy work. The chemical suits suck but rarely ever had to where them.

I recently enquired about werner and was told 26 cents a mile to start, when i drove tankers for Schneider 2 years ago i started out at 32 cents a mile. I'd go Schneider if i were you.

LOL..wow I screwed that up...NATA is actually ATA...anyway, I meant the TCA Truckload Carriers Association, and Schneider was 15th...I just remembered some of it cause I just worked for Boyd. link is : http://www.driverquality.com/news/bestfleets2010_winners.shtml
