The thing about the pay makes me aprehensive as far as werner goes because they wont put in writing what they pay. I even went to their site and opened up a chat window and they still wouldnt tell me, they said please call for that info. Ive read a few posts here where people say they were getting less cpm than they were told they would so im a bit leary

No, but I don't need to jump of a cliff to know the outcome isn't going to be very good.

I spoke to a WSE trucker last night, he was with Werner for 2 weeks, and was canned. Went to Willis Shaw and wouldn't go anywhere else. I put a call into them, lemme see what i can find out.

Werner, 11 weeks. Was told .35/mile. Turned out to get that, you had to have made the bonuses as well, my base was .28/mile. Recruiter kept insisting it would be .35.:biggrin_2559:
SNI, 1 1/2 years. .36/mile, not dependent on bonuses.

Money per mile means a lot. But there are other considerations as well, as in how are you treated? SNI is the only big company I was ever with that I don't think I was ever lied to, about anything.
Someone mentioned USX, lies, the worst in my experience. 8 months of their brand of southern hospitality.:biggrin_25510:

Do some reseaech, and draw your own conclusions, take everything into consideration, just remember what works for one man won't work for another. You have to remember opions are like a--holes everyone has one. It is a tough decision, going with your first company, it can make you or break you. Take a look again at American Truckers list of carriers, it is a list of decent carriers to consider. If you go into this with eyes wide open and know how you will be treated, it won't be such a shock, there will be plenty of other shocks to come.

Companys that pre-hired me with 0 miles logged :

TMC, Werner, Swift, USX, Central, JB Hunt, BTC, KLLM, ROEHL, Schneider, and Boyd Bros.

So, you do have other options.

Be careful with Werner... I don't drive for them, but I have a friend who did. They treated him so badly that he quit trucking altogether.
That being said, read everything you can and go with the company that you believe is the right fit for you.
