To the op if my choice was server or swift I think I'd rather put a gun to my head. You can do better but you need to do some research, these days you have the Internet ask around and listen to the old timers 20 to 30 years. Other wise your setting your self up for misery.
Here's a question for you. How old are you and do you have a family? If you have a family can your spouse support your family if you only make 600 dollars a week? Tell me that and I can give you some direction.
All of these comments are great advice. Check all the companies in your area. go to a truck stop and talk to the drivers. That is what I did and just finished 1st year as Team Company driver and made 57K. Yes we ran hard but not as hard had it been a different company. Out 3 weeks....home 5 days.
