I'm 22, I live with my mom and sister right now. We've been getting by with me getting only 700 a month working at walmart so right now, 600 a week looks good to me

Flip a coin, they are both the same just about.
In all seriousness as a newbie I went with Werner because they were kind of near my home at the time. Put six months in and dropped them like a bad habit.

Does werner pay for anything during training. Swift does not. You are lucky if they even house you at a hotel that serves continental breakfast. With starter companies, you are going to get screwed either way, so if one offers a perk that the other one lacks, choose based on that. Also, at swift your training pay is $1.00 more than your states minimum wage for your drive time and minimum wage for on duty not driving...not set amounts. Just remember, the first 6 months are tge hardest and try not to live on cash advances.

I would go work the docks at an ltl company, then move up to a class b rig. After you've shone you know how to work they will teach you to drive and you will be making a lot more money then your average otr driver.

It will take a couple years but you won't make much your first 2 years as an otr driver and you get to skip all the hassle and go straight into a good job.

At 22 with a place to live I'd work the docks night shift and go to the local community college. Get a degree, learn the docks, and get them to pay for your cdl. That will put you miles ahead of everyone else.

Im going swift personally, but thats because they and CR England are my only options as I cant afford training and cant get it financed or through WIA. I'm gonna fulfill my contractual obligations with them then drop them like a hot potato.
