Are you OTR? How is mileage and pay?

I started out with werner and it was the biggest mistake, for the first thing my trainer was gay, the second thing when i went otr i went 11 western, and stayed in southern caliy most of the time, 3rd thing the pay was rotten, at .25 cents a mile loaded x10 hrs of driving at 60 miles an hr =600 miles = 150 dollars x 7 days = 1050 dollars so take that minus say 450 dollars then add your mt runs at .o12 cents a mile now add up all this milage after 4 months of driving and i never made over 125.00 a week, they suck

 

You maintained 60 MPH average for 10 hours a day in CA? In a big truck?

 

On the open hiways when i could but still other trucks were passing me as well.

 

my husband starts orientation at Werner this week and this thread has really helped

 

@ 123456, I about fell out of my seat looking at that inset photo of yours. Crazy, I have to wonder if when he gets out to have the truck weighed, that the DOT tells him for the sake of others and his brakes, over a pass, to get back in so the truck can be weighed in.
Good grief, he is half the load by himself!!!

 

Helped in a good way or bad way?

 

Is there a road test during orientation? I was under the impression that all companies gave road tests.

 

There's only a road test if your trainer says you need one.
