Werner Per Diem fraud

As long as half the drivers say there is nothing we can do, there is nothing we can do.

This is one topic that needs stressed in the impossible strike.

When I went thru Werner indoctrination they showed a video that explains per diem and in the video they stated that they designed the program so that they didn't make any money from it. Now, you know those Werner execs wouldn't lie (cough, cough).

Truth is, most Werner drivers, especially those just starting out, probably don't make enough to itemize, with or without per diem. In fact, most, with children at home, likely qualify for wealth redistribution (read, earned income credit).

 

I made enough to itemize last year and i only drove for 3 months of the year....
