and what company do you work for that has never had a single truck/ and or trailer scratched, dented, and or wreaked. I got news for you. Your a student you like in ohio. You might not have any choice but werner, swift, or JB hunt. You got to start somewhere. I know alot of drivers that are really happy with werner. You get on one of thier many many dedicated runs and you can make really good cash and be home every weekend. I know drivers that are making over 1k a week as company drivers home every weekend. And those are single guys and that after taxes. So no werner isn't all bad. But when you have 8,000+ trucks on the road there is bound to be mishaps. You never know he could have only been doing 30mph and hit a patch of ice. Stuff happens out here. I have scene countless o/o in the ditch also. Does that mean they were also bad drivers or did they just hit some black ice? Stuff happens to us all and it will happen to you too. Its just a matter of when and where.

Its just that Werner is a huge company with alot of new drivers. So that makes them more visable.

Dionysus Thanks this.

I'm just leaving Edmonton for BC. I wish I could GUARANTEE that I'll get myself and the truck back in one piece. I would be the first driver everto be able to give that guarantee. Like everyone else, I do my best, but I can only hope that best is going to be good enough.

THink about this...
Werner has what...5000 trucks on the road a day.
If they follow the average (I am making up an average for comparisons sake) of 1% of their trucks having a chargeable accident once a year...that is 50 accidents a year.
That is once a week.
Now, take a smaller regional company that only hires veterans, and they only have 500 trucks. Take their 500 trucks and a .5% accident rate a year, and that is only 2-3 accidents a year.
3 vs. 50. AND....Werner's trucks are nice and blue so you can make sure you put their accidents on YOUTUBE for us to make fun of. lolMarkers83 Thanks this. -
One accident a week, at Weiner ?????
They have twice that per day, at their terminal !!!!! -
lol though.123456 Thanks this. -
Yeah, you also have to figure that most experienced drivers are working somewhere else, so this makes the number of inexperienced drivers that work for them even greater. It's ok though, they will have that seat filled with another student before the end of the day. Really all the mega-carriers are like that. So I wouldn't just bash Werner. If you want the real low down check out that safety stat website. This will tell you where every company ranks.
