The thread starter is too funny! Completely true? I have my doubts. I met a Werner 'trainer' and his 'trainee' not too long ago; he was full of it and his inexperienced, youthful charge was gonna leave at the first opportunity.
I throughly enjoyed reading the original statment!later_dude Thanks this. -

"Later Dude," I just have two questions for you:
1) Why didn't you tell the slob that you're fed up with his smell and farting and if he didn't take a shower, wash his butt, stop farting , and shyting his pants you where going off the truck?
2) If that didn't work why didn't you just request a new trainer? -
Here is my big question for the OP. Seeing how the living conditions were SOOOO bad, and that his personal hygiene was called into question....my question is this. At what point did the smell become so bad that it finally registered in your head?? Are you going to tell me that the interior of the truck threw you off cause it smelled like fresh cut grass, and hand picked flowers...then all of a sudden the whole world was flipped upside down, and the "real" smell came out?? If a guy lived like that in his home, you'd be able to tell just by standing outside the front door whether you'd want to enter or not. Same holds true in a smaller living arrangement such as a truck.
At first wiff, i'd have said to myself, "gee, something isnt right here." I might have even asked if there was an infant on the truck with a poopy diaper or something. You chose to get on the truck, you chose to accept those living conditions, you knew the driver was a slob before the truck even rolled a foot. You chose to stay on the truck until it became 'so bad'. So why did you not refuse to get on the truck with that trainer, and go right inside and request a new one? When they asked you "why"...you could have just said "follow me" and took them out to the truck. End of story.
and my other question is this. do drivers not ever hear of a dictionary? i can understand poor punctuation, but come on....if you can't spell, it just shows you are too lazy to check it yourself, or you are too dumb to understand the difference between "their" and "there". -
I worked for Werner for one month. I quite because of the trainer being a bad driver. But that being said I never met a student while in orientation that met your descriptions. All you had to do is the same thing that I did. Call your student driver manager and have him let you off at the next terminal and get you a new trainer. As far as I witnessed, someone with your experience (400,000 miles) would only have to pass a drivers test and take some training on the computer for the electronic logs and such and you would be on the road. Your post is an insult to all the people that are out there trying to find a job doing anything that they can get. Werner's standards are not any different from anyone else's. To say that Werner was somehow recruiting slobs is so stupid. Your whole post is stupid.
