I understand peeps have to get experience but to let a company take advantage of you is wrong and these companies will keep doing it as longs as peeps like you let them.. I think I would flip burgers then spend a yr giving up my life so someone like that can use me and line there pockets and treat me like Im nothing....

I started driving truck 10yrs ago I have been with the same company and Im still with them Why?? from the first day I started 90% of the time I make in a day!! what you listed you make in a week and 90% of the time Im home every day.. Im not bragging just sayn there is other stuff out there and I dont sit and wait on loads... if something is not going right I call my boss they have 30mins to get it figured out or I leave and I still get paid for that load ... to be honest I have read post on here with these companies and there drivers and why ya"all put up with it IDN I couldnt do it ...

Im getting ready to leave the company Im with.. do to moving out of state I have been talking with several places.. I know Its hard to find a good one and I was getting a little discouraged but I think I found one today that will treat me good and the pay is very well my home time wont be as good but Im cool with that

 

Great post, so well written and detailed. So much so that it sort of grossed me out. I couldn't read parts of it.

Reminds me of back in the military, some where like that. Used there funk as sort of a protection from other people My option.

When someone is isolated like that from other people for so many years. They get a sort of prison look and act. Like after being locked up for years. Myself I will have my CDL paid by the state. I have sen the abuses by company's described to e over the years.

Notice how many people have responded to your post? Verse others, new person, good.

all i know is that 400& something was about average for my time with PAM.
so it aint just werner.

Thank you, I plan to beat up on there truck for a year while i learn how to drive . Then if this is for me i have plenty saved from years of owning a construction business to buy a truck. I did very well in that field until the crash. Yes Werner is cheap but they had advantages that i wanted. I went from trainer truck right into a volvo with 13,000 miles on it so you can get lucky i guess. wanted a pete with an apu but i wont complain.

 

Oh my goodness! That post is HYSTERICAL! I thank you for the insight as I am just getting into long haul trucking and have to figure out who to work for after a two week refresher course. Maybe I should stick to the logging roads! That is SO FRICKIN FUNNY!
