Sorry to hear about your father and the struggles you had, I hope he is doing well now. as also wonder how things are going for you since you left werner. Did you you have any difficulties in getting on with another company? Did you go with another large company or a smaller one?

    Please give us an update.

well i know of folks that have up a quit before and they have had trouble getting on again. but after about 1 week home i got a call from a friend of mine that was driving for Prime Inc. out of springfield, mo. so i gave them a call, and 3 days later i had my new truck and was running again. and i can tell you prime is so much different than werner. when ever i need to be home i get home when i need to. i drove for them as a company driver for about 2 years, saved up enough money and bought my own truck, been leased out to them for about 4 years now and making very good money.

I havent read all the posts on this thread but I'll tell you about my experience with Werner from October 5th to present. So, far, it's been good. I had to get off my trainer's truck for a home issue. Went back and again it's been good. I was lucky to get good trainers. If you feel you do not have a good one or you have issues, call your student development manager and let him/her know what the issues are. Don't cry wolf. I've been in good trucks. Haven't sat around, we were kept busy. When my trainer went on home time, I was put up at a pretty nice hotel. All in all a good experience. I will say it's living like most haven't experienced but some of it is what you make out of it. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. LOL. Take care.

i talked to the recuriter the other day and he told me 300 hours of training with a trainer and you get 325 a week for the first 150 hours then 350 a week for the last 150 hours plus a 500 "iron man" bonus if you only go home when your trainer goes home plus he said all their trucks were 500 horse kitty cats standard in all trucks does anyone know this to be true or is this all a bunch of lies

the money part is correct and the bonus is correct if you do the training without taking a break. it is 300 hrs. no autoshifts in the fleet. i dont know about the engines in all of the tractors but there would have to be some cats in the fleet
