I got to give Swift at least 13 months for the schooling, that's a start. What would be a good company for a one year experienced driver in your opinion, Mjensen?

I agree, they pay so low because they can and knows they'll never have a driver shortage.Unless the law is on our side, their low pay will always remain the same.

When I was there I received 24 cpm and left at 29 cpm.So the entire time with Werner you won't make much. They do have a lease program and some have actually had great success. You go to werner DO NOT go OTR.Those drivers get the shaft more then anyone else.Werner has split pay but forgot how that works.

For all you new drivers getting into the field I would really check out car hauling there are some companies that hire right out of school not alot think there are only 3 if that home time is every 7-10 days. They put you up in a motel at night for sleeping as most of the car haulers dont have sleeper births. You get six months under you belts would help alot aswell open alot more doors. Ever check out Hopper bottoms? ( grain Haulers) was home every weekend aswell somtimes during the week. I did my share of OTR and going to diff states now im in local job and couldnt be happier. Get 1-3 years experiance and keep nose clean and what not you will be walking into job interview and be hired on the spot for local if thats what you want.
