Well not withstanding that, I just wonder why the sky is falling at one mega, and the champagne dreams and caviar wishes are being lived at another.

I had 2 articles pop up on my news feed today.
1st one was about a big need for drivers. Freight is up, trucks are in demand.
The 2nd was about a major trucking company closing a warehouse and laying off workers.
And to hell with Swift. I hope they go belly up.Upinsmoke, Tall Mike, thelushlarry and 2 others Thank this. -
Companies closing doors and laying off workers. I'm sure that is poor management. You can guess the reasons. Bad contracts not paying enough. etc.
These Mega's do a good job of using people. They make a ton off new drivers. All they put into training and all, pays back big time.
You do realize. Number one supporting the FMCSA is Knight/Swift. It exists to take the responsibility off of the companies. Put it all on the drivers. I was told this by DOT. DOT don't like it one bit.Upinsmoke, MYSTYKRACER and FlaSwampRat Thank this. -
Knight swift and cr england is all owned by the same family. I think knight buying swift was a cousin helping a family freind out or something like that.??? Who knows.... Im sure if knight starts to fail , cr england will buy both of them and then we will have cr knight swift england... They will have to make trucks with 6 bunks in it just to keep up with demand from all the students they train

A quick look at the data over the last 3 quarters shows revenue per truck dropping, significantly.
2018 was their highest 3rd quarter, and 2019 is down 4%, year over year down 2%.
If I were Wener I wouldn't be popping champange corks any time soon.Upinsmoke, thelushlarry, FlaSwampRat and 1 other person Thank this. -
