Whatever you do, run away from the dollar store accounts. Tight lots, no docks, have to unload all that crap by hand. Good way to get injured and/or end up with back problems

 

Great! @Chinatown lives in Las Vegas so I bet he has some great places to recommend for you. I think the point here is don't do Werner at all because it will either be OTR out until they feel like getting you home or a horrible Dollar General account.

 

Bud if you want home time then get into Food Service like Mclane, US foods or Gordon. Also some ltl carriers hire drivers with no experience especially Old Dominion and XPO. FXf would take you a s a driver apprentice. I don't have 25 years of experience, but I have done my research and I like where I am right now.

If you start your trucking career with a crappy company then you probably won't last very long IMO. Just my .02 cents

Airgas - same as Praxair qualifications.

Golden State Foods
ABF - new driver training program
Hickman's Family Farms - home daily
Night Train Trucking - dedicated run to California and back.
Mountain Valley Express
