And it seems they teach their drivers how to cut people off or run them off the road.

had that happen twice and by two different Werner drivers.

I still remember having a waking nightmare while training at Werner.

My trainer was addicted to Mountain Dew. Always got the 1 liter bottles from truck stop when it was 2 for $X. Literally storage cabinet was full of half empty bottles. While he was driving he always asked me to get him another one. I always said “don’t you want to finish one of these 20 half full ones?” He always said “no, the fizz is gone and they are flat”. Makes sense.

Then I found out like weeks later all those bottles half full…. Are half full of piss.

Maybe he was selling his piss on the black market .. to other Werner drivers that couldn't pass a drug test

I’d also like to add when I put in my 2 weeks notice, they had me drop my loaded trailer to the Dallas terminal. When I got there they cut my driver ID card in half and said I have 2 hours to exit the property. I lived in Maine. So was forced to throw away or give/sell anything if value in my truck and was forced to walk out of the terminal. I sat at the Loves while my mom was buying my plane ticket back to Maine. Worst experience I’ve ever had. This was 2008.

Schneider did that to me. I was in Chicagoland. My permanent address was way out west. They stranded me so I drove over and got another job and paid for a motel. I’m still recruiting Joliet Ecolab drivers. I heard they had to get a second DBL to combat the churn. I think my old boss is about to get fired.

A good reason to NEVER give a two week notice unless it's a small company and you know the owner personally and you're on good terms. Shows how much the megacarriers care about their drivers.

Just wait till home time to put in your notice and leave everything except an overnight bag at home. They can't screw you if you think ahead.
