When I started working for them back in 1996 they were actually a decent company to work for. It has just been a slow and steady decline as time goes on.

If they have a school then they usually are bad to work for. It means that the experienced drivers dont want to work for them so the company has to supplement that fact with a steady supply of new drivers that dont know any better.

I don't know but after you read some of the horror stories on here, The wife nagging about the bills is not an untrue statement. It seems that a lot of drivers bust their behinds but have little to show for it come payday. I don't know how they do it. Something needs to change. And quickly!

I just got my paycheck and it was a wopping $86.00 after deductions. Talk about hitting it in the face. My wife and i trying to pay the bills while this company sat me. Here is the kicker, today i was assigned a load from minnesote to Trenton, NJ. Not a bad mileage run, being paid 1189 against the actual 1224 it covers, but here is the kicker, Werner is laying off 48 state drivers and having the regionals pick up the slack without paying us 48 state money. How does .25 per mile sound to you? Once again, I love the driving but the company sucks.:biggrin_25513:

An add on, I was lectured, once again, a idling last night, it was 12 degrees in Cedar Rapids, Ia. I get 10 hours of idle time. Well let me ask you a question, when does it become a safety issue? This is in conjunction with a, get this, key ignition report. Seems that ifd my my key is in the start position, it sets off the idle monitor. I will take this only so much longer, then I will file a complaint with safety and I am considering filing a suit with OSHA about unsafe operating and living conditions. Think about it this way, we live in our trucks (company trucks) and it is no different than having the heat or AC on in the home or apartment. does the landlord tell you when to turn these items on and for how long? No, if he did, he'd have lawyers up his A$&. A breaking point is coming. Seems the solution would be to get everyone an APU. Thats right, all the trucks are sitting in Omaha.:biggrin_2553:

Well if you happen to get 53330 beware, it has an issue with the roll stability sensors being extremely sensitive on down or up grades. It got me fired, (or was the real issue that I was 48 state and refused to be a trainer)?

You are gonna have a hard time making it at 25cpm + now Winter driving.

I try to stay away from Weiner -too many accidents and too many bitter drivers. Not as bad as a Fleece, but #### close.

This thread is really sad. $86 ? - How the #### are you supposed to pay ANY bill with that sort of money ?! - I think my smallest bill is $109 a month!

    :biggrin_2554:

At least i got the $86, another guy got 00.00 thinkj about that. This company seems to relish in the fact that the new drivers don't make much money and the little they get, well by golly lets see if we can make them work for nothing.
I feel that I have to learn to live within the means of this comapny but the nitpicky garbage and the lack of pay for new drivers, down to a 0 paycheck really makes you wonder if they want us to continue working.
Next test, I go into Trenton, NJ tomorrow and I deliver on Monday morning. There are possibly heavy snow falls coming by mid week, what is the chance these yahoos leave me stuck on the East Coast, remember I'm Midwest, by the way ran into a West Region guy they were shuttling to Norfolk, VA, and I run out of food and miss my scheduled doctors appointments next Monday the 14th. Now that would be the icing on the cake.

How come you only made $86?? Have you been taking advances? did you only run a few miles for the week? Truck break down? I know their pay sucks but even at .21 cpm and running only 1000 mile thats still be $210 bucks and after federal taxes claiming 0 that would still be $186.24. Its not that I dont believe you, just wondering how that could be. And making zero would mean maybe the other guy had truck issues??? Too many advances???

    luvtheroad Thanks this.
