Great. Thanks for the info. Just trying to keep track of how all of you are doing on it as I ponder it for myself.

 

I may have seen him in IL. last Fri. Not sure though. I was leaving the truckstop as this truck was parking. Black Cascadia with QXZ trucking or something like that on it.
May or may not have been him.

 

Any news?.......This is worst than the Bermuda Triangle. Could only hope that he has found some profitable freight lanes and running well.

 

Someone said they heard through facebook he turned his truck in.

 

Okay thanks for the update DFO. I could imagine he is frustrated.

 

So some of the lessons learned from this thread would be to have plenty of funds available ($20,000) for slow times and maintenance and basically as a safety net, plus there would be a huge advantage for a company driver transferring to IC because of familiarity of SNI's freight lanes and day to day operations. That would certainly shorten the learning curve in my opinion and hopefully help with the bottom line. I am not certain of Wheelwell's OTR experience but he did mention he was hauling fuel prior I believe.

I didn't read about his truck being in the shop too often, so that was not an issue. Not trying to hijack this abandoned thread, but am curious about the fine line between success and failure.
