Maybe just a normal peak in prices;loads out of California are paid better this time of the year ,from May to August. I got 6000-7500$ for produce loads 11-12 years ago, this time of the year, from Salinas/Watsonville,Ca to Toronto,/Montreal ; the diesel price was 1.10 -1.30$/gal and truck maintenance way lower without all emission nonsense. I used to burn 900-1000 gallons of diesel for a round trip, from Ontario/Quebec to West Coast/California and back,(1000-1300$), today the diesel would cost aprox 4000$. Soo, imop even 10,000$ is not "skyrocketing". Let the fruits and vegetables get rotten on the farms, and consumers pay 10$ for a pint of strawberries, they'll wake up and give us a break with this emission madness.

well said my friend. Well said. if diesel prices were as low as they were back then, truckers wouldn't be arguing about anything. gas prices go up, then rates should go up also.

my first time in cali since last year. almost a full year now.

been looking at the rates and thinking about a dedicated run down and back home.

    at first rates weren't bad.

now that i'm actually here. rates are pathetic.

on another note. not seeing many beaters our here these days. cept for the local construction companies.
