West Michigan CDL

so how was the west michigan cdl school? was it even good and what are the drawbacks? "housing, food, training facility "clean or not", options to get a job somewere, ect?

 

Hey ladies and gents

Just joined the site today and noticed the wmcdl post was actually my first day at the school and really enjoyed it although I must say I feel like a total knob. I went in expecting it to be somewhat easier than it was prior to attending wmcdl I did drive straight truck for a few years and thought I had the upper hand, but who would have thunk there was something called double clutching whaaaat! Anyways I did my first two hours of class and volunteered to be the first driver around the industrial park it did go better than I thought it would considering half an hour before hand I found out there was such a thing as double clutching, and revving the rpm's to 1500 every time you downshift was also a new and unusual concept, but after a couple of trips around it became easier.


P.s Oh before I forget two things that don't mix well being a redhead and standing in the sun for 5 hours during driving range practice = a lot of pain! Aloe vera here I come baby.

I will try to keep everyone posted on the next couple weeks of school farewell and have fun on the road all you truckers!

So you were at wmcdl over this last 10 days. If so did you see a purple prostar rig one morning ?

 

I'm a former student and have been driving for about a year and a half, WMCDL was one of the best things I've ever done. Would recommended any one to attend.

 

Pagan, I finished my CDL course at WMCDL just a few weeks ago. Tim is still there and he is amazing. In my opinion, he's the best instructor there. I was actually sad when the class was finished.

 

I am starting WMCDL on the 18th and looking forward to it.

 

That is a good school I have been there and I know the owner.
